About this talk

As we roll into 2021, still self-isolating and working from home, Kaspersky researchers set out some key takeaways from the shift to remote working over the past year, and share their recommendations to help organizations improve associated security measures. During 2020, the way organizations operate has changed drastically. A major shift to remote working and increased digitization of businesses has brought new challenges. On the one hand, managers were forced to look into how to keep employees productive; on the other, work-life balance improved for some workers. IT experts had to tackle a variety of tasks – swiftly and on a large scale – from moving operations to the digital realm, to setting up remote access and reliable networks. Unsurprisingly, cybercriminals also adapted to the change of environment and focused on new threat angles. Dmitry Galov, security researcher at Kaspersky, will take a look at the challenges organizations faced when dealing with remote working and share key learnings that we can apply in 2021, as the current work-from-home model remains the primary choice for many organizations. In this webinar you will learn: • Where the biggest threats in remote working lie – from RDP to conference apps • How a bring-your-own device policy might affect security • The positive effects of remote working on employees • How to improve your organization’s security for remote workers
