Last year, in a webinar dedicated to covering the coming trends of 2020, our panelists delved into a number of high-priority technology topics, including IoT, cloud connectivity in a multi-cloud world, the evolution of SD-WAN, 5G, and WiFi6. While it looked as though those network technologies were poised for great growth, what no one could have predicted was a worldwide pandemic and its accompanying massive acceleration in technology adoption. One key indicator of that growth is broadband. In its Broadband Insights Report for third quarter 2020, OpenVault notes that, “Broadband usage has remained at 40% to 50% above 2019 levels this year, but there is no reason to think it will ever recede to past usage levels.” In addition, the shift brought about new working models requiring meeting the needs of remote workers and the related requirements for unified communication and collaboration and scalable security solutions—other situations not likely to change.
Join us on December 17 at 1 p.m. ET for “2020 in Review: Riding the Wave of Tech Acceleration,” a webinar from Comcast Business. In this webinar, we’ll explore the factors that drove network technology acceleration and digital transition planning; the key technologies and how they grew; network responses to the rapid changes that occurred; and how the immense shifts have led to long-term benefits and entirely new technology roadmaps.
Our panelists include:
•John Guillaume, Chief Design Officer, Comcast Business, and his team of software developers, product managers, operators, and designers work to discover customer friction points that can lead to compelling, innovative solutions.
•Johna Til Johnson is CEO and senior founding partner of Nemertes Research, where she sets research direction and works with strategic clients.
