Boosting engagement with dynamic content insertion

About this talk

Three in five subscribers to multiple streaming services expressed frustration with their viewing experiences, while consumers also think that more than 60% of the content they are paying for is not relevant to them, according to a report from Accenture in January 2022. As competition for eyeballs becomes ever more intense, this should make troubling reading for streaming services everywhere. It also explains why technologies aimed at achieving greater relevance and personalisation – such as dynamic content insertion (DCI) – are now much in-demand across the industry. In this IBC 365 webinar we will look at how content services are using DCI and other approaches to boosting viewer engagement, with discussion of aspects such as: - The importance of continued innovation by vendors and streaming services in delivering targeted content - The extent to which specific approaches to personalisation, such as DCI, have now achieved widespread market traction - The connection between personalisation and localisation, and the logistical challenges of delivering both in streamlined global workflows - The implications for engagement of a new generation of content aggregation services, and the role that more sophisticated data collection and analysis will play in delivering targeted content in the future
