  • Realizing trust with passwordless authentication Sep 23 2021 4:00 pm UTC 60 mins
Nicolas Malbranche, Senior Product Manager, Axiad & Chris Streeks, Senior Solutions Engineer, Yubico
In light of accelerated digital business transformation and increasing cyberattacks, enterprises need to implement passwordless authentication that allows their employees to operate with trust, no matter where they are. Passwords have been proven over and over to be weak and ineffective, and while many IT leaders are investing in multi-factor authentication to secure their users, this may not be enough. The business of tomorrow requires end-to-end identity management for users, machines, devices, and digital interactions. Join this webinar with Yubico and Axiad to learn how to take an identity-first strategy to cybersecurity and discuss:

    - Why FIDO2 authenticators are essential as your workforce transitions to cloud-based and mobile applications that are vulnerable to cyberthreats.
    - How PKI can secure your network’s increasing number of machines, such as mobile and IoT devices, and digital interactions including email and document signing.
    - Which authentication solutions are scalable and user-friendly for your growing business needs and your digital-focused hybrid workforce.
    - How streamlined deployment and lifecycle management of your credentials in a unified platform will help transition your cybersecurity infrastructure to passwordless.

  • Closing the Gaps in Your Security Posture Recorded: Aug 19 2021 66 mins
Steve Nichols (Georgia Technology Authority), Shannon Lawson (city of Phoenix), Jeff Phillips (Yubico)
Government IT teams work incredibly hard to ensure their networks stay safe and secure. Many state and local government agencies that have deployed mobile-based authentication are experiencing MFA security gaps caused by employees that can’t, don’t or won’t use mobile authentication. These gaps increase the risk of successful phishing attacks and account takeovers.

Two important – and related – ways to close those gaps are hardware security keys and cyber insurance plans.
Hardware security keys address a significant challenge related to multifactor authentication (MFA). In addition to MFA, effective cyber defense also includes cyber insurance.

Watch this discussion with Steve Nichols, the CTO of the Georgia Technology Authority; Shannon Lawson, the CISO for the city of Phoenix; and Yubico Public Sector Vice President Jeff Phillips on how hardware security keys complement mobile-based authentication to help agencies get to 100 percent MFA coverage and the best achievable cyber insurance.
  • Drive differentiation in financial services with modern strong authentication Recorded: Aug 5 2021 60 mins
Steve Brasen, Research Director (Enterprise Management Associates), David Treece, Director Solutions Architecture (Yubico)
The Financial Services industry often struggles with perceived commoditization among customers, but organizations can set themselves apart by offering strong security. Account takeover related fraud is largely driven by weak authentication such as usernames and passwords, security questions, and mobile-based authentication (OTP, SMS, push notifications). Modern strong authentication offers end-customers highest-assurance security along with ease of use, and can create meaningful differentiation and value to drive new customer acquisition and customer retention.Attend this webinar to learn what modern strong authentication really is, and how new standards and devices are making it possible to provide the highest levels of fraud prevention without compromising on exceptional user experience.

  • Modern approaches to remote identity provisioning across civilian agencies Recorded: May 20 2021 62 mins
Jeremy Grant (former NIST), Jeff Phillips (Yubico), Blake Hall (ID.me), Andrew Sheedy (Entrust)
While PIV is standard across civilian agencies, strong authentication gaps do exist. For example: non PIV eligible users, mobile device users, remote workers, or citizen-facing digital services. These gaps, if not closed, can result in successful cyber attacks that can have devastating consequences. Recent attacks such as Solarwinds and the Colonial Pipeline have highlighted the need for strong authentication across all infrastructures, applications and services, as outlined in the new Executive Order from President Biden on improving the nation's cybersecurity.

The Covid Pandemic also restricted the ability to perform in-person identity proofing for issuing identity credentials, broadening strong authentication gaps across the civilian government. Ensuring compliance with NIST SP 800-63B guidelines, identities need to be verified and trusted, and a strong cryptographic credential needs to be bound to that identity. To provide the strongest Identity Assurance Level (IAL), Federal Assurance Level (FAL), and Authenticator Assurance Level (AAL), civilian agencies should look to alternate authenticators using trusted hardware devices with trusted identity credentials as well as alternate identity proofing processes
Attend this roundtable with Yubico, ID.me and Entrust are working together to offer remote identity provisioning of strong authentication alternate credentials to civilian agencies to enable them to close PIV related authentication gaps and comply with the new executive order
