About this talk

With the ratification of FIPS 201-3 highlighting the need for phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication and the Executive Office of the President publishing OMB M-22-09 setting forth a Federal Zero Trust architecture (ZTA) strategy, many agencies are now looking at how they meet the specific cybersecurity standards and objectives by the end of Fiscal Year (FY) 2024. A key element of Zero Trust is being able to verify an individual is who they claim to be, while previous versions of FIPS 201 have focused solely on PKI, the updated standard now enables the use of additional authentication mechanisms including FIDO and opens up the opportunity for hybrid authentication solutions. We will discuss: - Key differences between PKI and FIDO - Authenticator Assurance Levels and where FIDO fits - How to deploy FIDO within federal security policies - Integrating FIDO into an existing IDAM infrastructure Confidentiality and Data Processing: The information you provide in this form will be held in confidence by Yubico, Inc. and its Affiliates.
