About this talk

It’s clear that the world witnessed a highly accelerated rate of digitalization in the last year or so. We saw a shift to newer, more agile, and more resilient, remote-friendly environments and faster adoption of “digital” processes almost overnight. How much will we return to “business as usual”? How have energy companies and utilities adapted, and what could be next? Utilities that started digital programs before COVID-19 hit, have been more resilient. In the upcoming months many will need to reconsider their technology priorities to be able to reduce O&M costs. And this can be done by using analytics to create risk profiles that generate improved asset-maintenance cycles. IIoT technologies can improve field operations, reduce crew sizes, improving both safety and efficiency. Remote troubleshooting could do the same. With the travel restrictions in place, remote supervision might play a bigger role in the construction of new sites. Join our speakers to find out how to accelerate digitalization in energy and utilities.
