The Impact of COVID-19 on the Drivers of Emerging Market Equities

Emerging markets (EM) have changed significantly over the last few decades. In this webinar, we’ll talk about the evolution of EM equity markets along with the impacts of COVID-19 on EM countries. We‘ll also discuss some key investment themes within EM equities. Speaker Bios: Beecher Rusin: Beecher is a PH&N Institutional portfolio manager who specializes in multi-asset mandates, with a particular emphasis on global equities. He works on all aspects of portfolio management, investment solution development, and client servicing on behalf of institutional clients, consultants, and family offices. Beecher joined the firm in 2013. Dijana Jelic: Dijana is a product specialist on the Emerging Markets Equity Team at RBC GAM. Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Dijana was vice president at an international bank, where she spent six years in the managed investments and investment marketing businesses, focusing on the positioning of investment capabilities and thought leadership, respectively. Dijana began her investments career at an auditing firm in 2011. Andrew Sweeney: Andrew is an institutional portfolio manager who specializes in equity and multi-asset portfolios. He is also a capability specialist on the institutional team with respect to the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations in institutional portfolios. Andrew joined PH&N Institutional in 2007, having previously managed Canadian equity portfolios for a large, well-respected Canadian institutional asset manager. Since entering the investment industry in 1995, he has had analytical research responsibilities for most sectors within the Canadian equity market and, as a result, has acquired a strategic, long-term outlook on capital markets.
