About this talk

Accelerating Monolith to Microservices transformation with Quarkus, CRW, Tekton & ArgoCD on SRO (Stakater Red Hat OpenShift) Companies undertake the journey to migrate their monolithic system to microservices to increase the new features while lowering the cost of these changes. In this webinar we will discuss how Enento (UC AB) accelerated this journey, using Stakater RedHat OpenShift (SRO). With SRO, Stakater delivered an OpenShift platform ready for Day 2 DevOps. For the application runtime, the team used Quarkus, the Kubernetes Native Java stack, enabling a low footprint for their application as well as lightning fast scale up capabilities. We will look at how Red Hat Code Ready Workspaces provided the development team a consistent, secure, and zero-configuration development environment, using kubernetes and containers. This unleashed developer productivity, and gave way to rapid experimentation and quick feedback for new features under development. Kubernetes-native CI/CD was implemented with Tekton and ArgoCD, leveraging Kubernetes best practices for deployment patterns and GitOps workflows. This further saved developer time and effort that would otherwise have been spent on development of pipelines.
