Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Red Hat provide a complete, enterprise-class computing environment. Red Hat solutions on AWS give customers the ability to run enterprise traditional on-premises applications, such as SAP, Oracle databases, SQL Server databases, and custom applications in the cloud. Customers benefit from the familiar interface and consistent environment of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and the simplicity and scalability of AWS.

In this session, we explore the different Red Hat OpenShift options available on AWS — self-managed OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), fully-managed OpenShift Dedicated, and jointly supported and managed solution Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA). We look into the different customer considerations and use cases for each OpenShift on AWS option.

In this session we explore open service broker API solutions, Kubernetes operator frameworks, and AWS Service Catalog. We will discuss how to enable prescriptive self-service adoption of AWS native services to complement application workloads running on Red Hat OpenShift.

There are different versions of Red Hat OpenShift available on AWS in addition to their various deployment options. In this discussion, we explore infrastructure as code, AWS Quick Start solutions, Red Hat OpenShift installers, and automated infrastructure provisioning.
