  • Connecting Rural America - Service Provider Cost and Capacity Challenges May 12 2021 5:00 pm UTC 60 mins
Terry Young, Director of Service Provider Marketing, A10 Networks | Patrick Stevenson, Senior Network Engineer, Shentel
Somewhere between 22 and 43 million Americans are without adequate broadband service. Regional and rural service providers, spurred by recent FCC funding, are building out networks to extend coverage to underserved communities and provide faster, more secure, and innovative services.

One critical area that can be overlooked in the long list of network requirements is the need to provide IPv4-IPv6 connectivity. A typical operator building out to just 10,000 new subscribers could easily spend $320,000 for the IPv4 addresses – that’s $320k that could be spent on building coverage to one more hospital, passing more homes and new services to remote areas. The price of scarce IPv4 addresses keeps rising and can become a surprising and unexpected cost for many operators. IPv6 is often not a viable near-term option as adoption is still uneven with many websites, subscriber devices, and servers currently supporting IPv4 only.

Join this webinar with Patrick Stevenson from Shentel, a premier telecom and internet service provider, and Terry Young Director of Service Provider Marketing at A10 Networks to learn:

    • How Covid19 has exposed the digital divide – globally and in the US
    • The IPv4-IPv6 Conversion Dilemma
    • IPv4 and CGNAT - Cost and capacity considerations for bridging the digital divide
    • Deployment success stories from real-world regional service providers using CGNAT
  • Automating Network Infrastructure Tasks with A10 and HashiCorp Recorded: Apr 6 2021 42 mins
Taka Mitsuhata, Sr Manager, Technical Marketing at A10; Peter McCarron, Sr. Product Marketing Manager for Consul at HashiCorp
Cloud adoption has been on the rise and many organizations operate their application services in multi and/or hybrid-cloud environments. While both bring benefits for services it also increases complexity for managing and operating application delivery globally and across multiple clouds and data centers. This requires collaboration between NetOps and DevOps teams to optimize the operation, thus motivating organizations to move towards software-defined data center (SDDC) architectures, enabling an orchestration and automation approach using DevOps tool chains.

In this webinar, we will discuss:
    • Challenges in hybrid-cloud based application deployment
    • How the Network Infrastructure Automation approach helps Day-N operation
    • Demo: A10 Thunder ADC integration with HashiCorp NIA tools
  • Zero Trust and the New Normal of Cybersecurity Recorded: Mar 3 2021 60 mins
Douglas McKillip, Solutions Architect at A10 Networks; Babur Khan Marketing Engineer at A10 Networks
2020 was an eventful year for cybersecurity, with an unprecedented rise in cyberattacks. Many organizations were caught off guard as the pandemic accelerated and dictated the need for remote work and education. However, the accelerated move to everything cloud has left many wondering about the future, whether their on-premises investments have been rendered obsolete or if the “new normal” would only rely on cloud-only solutions.

The pandemic has also highlighted the need for fool-proof Zero Trust implementations to enhance the security of networks against modern cyberattacks, whether they are initiated from the outside or within. However, with most internet traffic encrypted, it is becoming increasingly difficult to effectively implement a Zero Trust approach.

In this webinar, we will discuss:
    * What the “new normal” of cybersecurity might look like in a post-pandemic world
    * What role will Zero Trust play in the future of cybersecurity
    * Why effective decryption is essential for a fool-proof Zero Trust implementation
  • Carrier Grade Networking at the Edge Recorded: Nov 24 2020 59 mins
Terry Young, Director Service Provider Product Marketing; Siddhartha Aggarwal, Lead Product Marketing Engineer
While service providers, enterprise transform networks to telco cloud and distributed edge architectures, traffic and subscriber volumes keep climbing. The global pandemic has added to that growth, pushing Internet traffic up 50% in some markets. Service providers, enterprise and educational institutions across the world are scrambling to increase capacity and strengthen security as subscribers work and play more at home, enterprises shift to on-line business models and higher education organizations support remote learning. One area that can quickly get overwhelmed is the CGNAT infrastructure – that capability in service provider and enterprise networks that manages the pool of IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.

During this session we are going to discuss the challenges now faced by service providers, including real world case studies.. We will also review some of the CGNAT features and products that comprise A10 Networks Thunder CGN solution and can help optimize existing CGNAT infrastructure, deploy capabilities in new edge architectures, meet short term capacity requirements, extend the IPv4 lifetime and transition to IPv6.

    The session will cover:

•Impact of global pandemic on service provider, enterprise and education institution networks
    •Market and Network Technology Trends:
    •On-going need for CGNAT and IPv4 – IPV6 Migration
•Security and capacity Challenges in distributed architectures
    •Real World Case Studies
    •A10 Networks Thunder CGN Solution

  • TLS, Compliance and Zero Trust – Protecting Users from Themselves Recorded: Jun 25 2020 42 mins
Adil Baghir, Principal Systems Engineer; Babur Nawaz Khan, Technical Marketing Engineer
 at A10 Networks
Modern cyberattacks are not limited to network intrusions from outside by hackers. “Internal threat actors” can often be found at the center of a complex mix of simple social engineering attacks and sophisticated, multi-staged infections and data breaches.

The Zero Trust model, based on the simple principle of “trust nobody”, defines rules which enhance the security of networks against modern cyberattacks, whether they are initiated from the outside or within. However, with most of the internet traffic being encrypted, it is becoming increasingly difficult to implement the Zero Trust model in an effective way.

In this webinar, we will look at:
    • The role of “internal threat actors” and TLS encryption in modern cyberattacks
    • How the Zero Trust model defines the future of cybersecurity
    • Why effective decryption is essential for a fool proof Zero Trust strategy

  • IoT Evolution in a 5G World: Architectures & Security Strategies Recorded: Dec 17 2019 63 mins
Jim Hodges, Chief Analyst at Heavy Reading; Ravi Raj Bhat, CTO at A10 Networks
The deployment of Internet of Things (IoT) devices on a massive scale will have far-reaching service and security implications for service provider networks. This session will commence by covering the technology options for IoT deployment, including cellular IoT (e.g. NB-IoT and LTE-M) in 4G, how they will evolve with 5G deployments, and how 5G will help accelerate the deployment of cellular IoT.

This session will also document how the acceleration of IoT deployment increases the overall security threat to 5G networks. In order to address these threats, new strategies are necessary. One such strategy that will be covered is the adoption of a two-tiered security approach that is optimally positioned to handle security challenges posed by IoT and 5G adoption. Finally, the webinar will explore the role that governments and regulation will play in securing IoT and 5G networks.
