Tracy Chou, CEO of Block Party, software engineer and advocate for diversity in tech & Adam Clater, Chief Architect, Red Hat

About this talk

As a young woman working in Silicon Valley, Tracy Chou quickly discovered that there is a lack of diversity in the modern tech workplace. In 2013 Tracy Chou published the thought provoking Medium post “Where are the numbers”, urging companies to start by “having honest dialogues about how we’re actually doing, as an industry, to encourage women in computing." This lead to her github repo that is used to track the diversity numbers that companies like Google, Microsoft and others have been disclosing. Adam and Tracy will discuss the tech gender gap and her ongoing mission.
