About this talk

Since 2021, there has been a sharp rise in malware developed to attack Macs, including ElectroRAT, Silver Sparrow, XLoader, and more. These new malware strains have paved the way for a future with more sophisticated and profitable attacks aimed at macOS. Macs do have several built-in security advantages, but these are becoming less significant because of two trends: malware increasingly targeting browser plugins, not the underlying OS, and malware developers creating cross-platform applications independent of the operating system. In this session, we will explore the gaps and opportunities.
