Selling Technology: How to Build Key Relationships with your Customers

The way in which we sell is changing, especially for women in hi-tech careers. Today’s sales environment is culture-driven, and the culture in the hi-tech industry can be a challenging place for women in leadership positions.

The biggest change has been in collaborative conversation. There is no product discussion, we don’t talk about hardware, software or service. We discuss the problem or need in depth and work toward a proof of concept. Instead of selling big deals, the market has shifted towards proof of concept, subscription-based and selling to inform. It’s not just about sales anymore; it’s about sales and marketing alignment and how to bridge the gaps.

Talking points will include:
- How the market has shifted
- How women can help and enable other women
- Tips and tricks for selling in the world of digital transformation

Join this expert panel with Diane Updyke, VP Sales & Advisor, Startups, Carrie Francey, VP Strategic Alliances, HPE and Kelly Ireland, CEO, CB Technologies, as they discuss these and other trends in the tech, startup and SaaS sales environment.

  • New Competitive Edge: Customer Acquisition Journey Through Digital Marketplaces Recorded: Aug 12 2021 59 mins
    Women in Cloud
The customer acquisition is moved to digital. Are you ready?
The new B2B buyer has come to expect the same easy, fast, and flexible buying experience they receive as a consumer. They want to work with brands that understand their needs, communicate how they want, and provide a connected customer experience from the first interaction through the entire relationship with that brand.

Digital Customer Acquisition is the new battleground for the tech industry. Companies that still think they can maintain a competitive edge by having a better product or solution are already losing to brands who understand the power of providing an amazing customer experience.
In this session, you will hear from industry leaders turning the magic quadrant on its head and changing the competitive landscape by reimagining the customer acquisition experience. Women in Cloud will be joined by Christine Puccio of F5 and Sanjay Mehta of Tackle.io who will discuss digital marketing and sales strategies for designing the customer journey from first interaction to purchase and talk about what’s working in customer success for retaining, expanding, and extending the total lifetime value of a customer. Join them as they explore partner success and the critical role that channel partners play in creating a cohesive customer experience with the vendor and partner.

    Key Takeaways Include:
    • Designing the Customer Journey – Digital Marketing & Sales Strategies
    • Customer Success – Adoption, Retention, Expansion, Referral
    • Aligning Customer and Partner Success – The Power of Marketplaces
  • Advancing Women’s Economic Future In The Cloud Computing Market Recorded: Jun 29 2021 63 mins
    Women in Cloud
Cloud adoption is increasing job opportunities in Cloud Computing. The onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic has expedited a rapid surge in the adoption of cloud computing infrastructure. Businesses significantly bolster their IT spending, especially in cloud services to rollout business models that meet remote working environments and help them to stay connected with each other. So, as more and more companies invest in cloud infrastructures, a job opportunity in the cloud industry is gaining momentum.

According to Economic Times, the cloud computing market in India is expected to reach US$4 billion by 2020, from US$2.2 billion in 2018, at an annual growth rate of 30%. This surge in the cloud market will create a million cloud computing job roles by 2022.As businesses compete to lead the cloud ecosystem, they will seek the best talent. A 2018 Pearson VUE study reported that nearly 35% of technical professionals said getting certified led to salary or wage increases and 26% reported job promotions. However, a significant gender gap exists in cloud-based roles, with women accounting for only 12% of cloud computing workers worldwide.

This webinar is designed to help women explore opportunities to join the cloud computing workforce. In this session we will focus on helping you to provide insights, advice and solutions to get you prepared for a job in the Cloud computing workforce. Plus, learn how you can get access to free digital skilling scholarships to rapidly access cloud jobs. The panel is moderated by Stacy Tatem (WIC Brand Ambassador) and joined by Debbie Uttecht, Brenda Saucedo, and Chaitra Vedullapalli

  • The Positive Role of Smart Technology For Child Safety Enclosed Within Clothing Recorded: Jan 15 2021 47 mins
    B'zT, LLC.
According to FBI statistics, one child in America goes missing every 40 seconds. Young children or children with autism are especially prone to wandering around. With parent surveys, researchers found that nearly half of autistic children attempt to wander away from safe and supervised places. More than half of these wandering children go missing, often into dangerous situations. B’ZT’s group tracking app solution with machine-washable smart clothing can reduce that number by keeping children safe and connected to their parents and caregivers without inhibiting independence and well-being. In addition, B’ZT can use IoT technology and adopt augmented reality, virtual reality, or voice recognition to use in visual learning story books and interactive toys in order to aid a child’s development.
