Cloud adoption is increasing job opportunities in Cloud Computing. The onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic has expedited a rapid surge in the adoption of cloud computing infrastructure. According to Economic Times, the cloud computing market in India is expected to reach US$4 billion by 2020, from US$2.2 billion in 2018, at an annual growth rate of 30%. A 2018 Pearson VUE study reported that nearly 35% of technical professionals said getting certified led to salary or wage increases and 26% reported job promotions. However, a significant gender gap exists in cloud-based roles, with women accounting for only 12% of cloud computing workers worldwide.

The June 15th CIO Power Panel will be an intimate conversation with the key executive women and allies leading large enterprise cloud transformations. This will be the first of Accenture’s quarterly series highlighting technology leaders who are leading from the front.
