Cloud adoption is increasing job opportunities in Cloud Computing. The onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic has expedited a rapid surge in the adoption of cloud computing infrastructure. So, as more and more companies invest in cloud infrastructures, a job opportunity in the cloud industry is gaining momentum. 

According to Economic Times, the cloud computing market in India is expected to reach US$4 billion by 2020, from US$2.2 billion in 2018, at an annual growth rate of 30%. This surge in the cloud market will create a million cloud computing job roles by 2022.As businesses compete to lead the cloud ecosystem, they will seek the best talent. A 2018 Pearson VUE study reported that nearly 35% of technical professionals said getting certified led to salary or wage increases and 26% reported job promotions. However, a significant gender gap exists in cloud-based roles, with women accounting for only 12% of cloud computing workers worldwide.

The June 15th CIO Power Panel will be an intimate conversation with the key executive women and allies leading large enterprise cloud transformations. This will be the first of Accenture’s quarterly series highlighting technology leaders who are leading from the front. It will be moderated by The Trust, The Wall Street Journal Barron’s Group, Stephanie Chang. Our objective is to provide industry POV around Cloud Journeys for 3 large enterprises, share personal and professional experiences for women leading these efforts, and discuss diversity within these programs. The conversation will highlight the benefits and challenges of a cloud transformation journey, draw additional excitement toward female leadership in technology, and showcase the collaborative partnership between Accenture and WiC and Accenture and its clients.
