About this talk

Whether we notice it or not, AI has become commonplace and useful – from Alexa to Google. Translate to online shopping – we are seeing effective use of big data analytics and machine learning. Unfortunately, the security industry has seen more hype than substance around AI, with black box offerings that boast of the technology, without proving its effectiveness. Security is increasingly a big data problem, while human analysts have become bogged down in repetitive, mind-numbing work – trying to keep up with thousands of alerts and spending more than 90% of their time chasing trivial threats or false positives. This webinar will provide an overview and examples of how AI and machine learning can be effectively applied to security detection and response, to automate complex repetitive tasks, while freeing up human analysts to use their expertise where it’s really needed. We will also discuss how human experts and expert systems need to interact to train AI systems to constantly improve on accuracy and efficacy.
