About this talk

This panel discussion is led by Eva Murray, Lead EMEA Evangelist at Snowflake. Everyone at this conference believes in the power of putting more data, and the tools to build something with that data, in the hands of more people. And we don’t just mean numerically more, we also believe the builders, the doers, must become more diverse. This belief is as automatic and accepted as the belief that anybody should be able to vote, but for much of the history of democracy, particular groups were excluded from voting. Why then are events in the data industry, even this one, dominated by a minority of population? One reason is history, another is that change is slow, neither is acceptable.
