In September 2020, Almalia launched the world’s first actively-managed global equity ETF (Exchange Traded Fund), employing Shariah investment principles. The aim of the Almalia Sanlam Active Shariah Global Equity UCITS ETF is to achieve capital growth over the medium to long term, whilst complying with principles of Shariah investing. Working with Sanlam Investments, the fund will invest in companies of a high quality with wide economic moats.
