Our speakers will be Portfolio Director, Jennifer Perry and Sustainable Investment Specialist, Emilie Shaw. Jennifer joined Cazenove Capital in July 2019 as a Portfolio Director working directly with private clients in addition to providing investment solutions to Multi Family Offices. She originally trained as an Investment Manager at Brewin Dolphin and subsequently moved to UBS Edinburgh as a Client Advisor managing high net worth and ultra-high net worth private client assets. Jenny is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and holds the Investment Advice Diploma (IAD) and Masters in Wealth Management. 

Emilie joined Schroders in 2011 and is a Portfolio Director within the Charities team and a Sustainability Lead. Emilie is responsible for managing both segregated and pooled portfolios under discretionary and advisory mandates. Alongside managing client portfolios, Emilie specialises in sustainable investment and co-chairs the Sustainability Investment Committee and manages Cazenoves core sustainability models. Emilie holds the CISI Chartered Wealth Manager Diploma and the CISI IAD Securities and IMC qualifications.

Investing for a better future

The US presidential election is one of the most closely watched events in the calendar. Political polls currently point to a comfortable win for Joe Biden. However, it is not only who wins the election that matters to investors. There is also uncertainty if the Senate vote result will end in a ‘blue sweep’ or a divided congress. With market volatility predicted from now until the inauguration in January, it is hard to predict how the results will affect the US economy and trade with the wider world.

Thomas Rogers, Switchd 
Tom is the co-founder of Switchd, a company keeps people on the absolute best energy deals, hassle free. Tom was born in London and attended St Paul's School before spending a year living in Shanghai as an English teacher. Following this he studied Economics at Durham where he learnt to code. Leaving Durham, he was a management consultant at Newton Europe for 3 years, before quitting with one of his colleagues to setup Switchd. Switchd is now 3 years old, was recently funded by Nationwide and has 10,000s of customers across the country.

Maudie Fraser, Sixty:2 Restaurant
Maudie is the founder of sixty:2 restaurant. She graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge in 2015 with a degree in Spanish & Portuguese, having spent a year living in Argentina and Brazil. She spent the next 2 years working with Syrian and Afghan refugees in Greece and advocating for refugee rights across the UK, through which she developed the technique of Positive Activism on which sixty:2 operates. Maudie has single-handedly established and run the restaurant since its inception in 2017 and is now working to fund and open a permanent site. She speaks 5 languages, is a personal trainer, and competes in powerlifting at national level.

Kate Leppard – Head of Client Service
Kate joined in 1990 and manages investment portfolios for large UK and International private families, and charities. She started her investment career in 1987 at Quilter Goodison. Kate is a senior member of the Investment Policy Committee.

Caspar Rock - Chief Investment Officer
Caspar joined Cazenove Capital in September 2016 from Architas Multi-Manager. He oversaw portfolio management at two of AXA group’s private banks. He previously headed up the multi-manager business at AXA Framlington from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, he managed a range of directly invested equity and bond portfolios, and was Head of European Equities at Framlington. He has over 30 years’ investment experience.

Ahmet Feridun, Investment Director 
In his role, Ahmet focuses on fund research as well as investment strategy. Prior to joining the company Ahmet worked at Stonehage Fleming for over 10 years, latterly as Head of Manager Selection, and was responsible for managing the investment portfolios of high net worth individuals and institutions. Ahmet graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, and is a CFA Charterholder.
