The ESET research team released the H2 2023 issue of its Threat Report that looked at the key trends and developments that defined the threat landscape from June through November of 2023. Here are just some interesting morsels of information that will be discussed during the webinar: • a new IoT threat called Android/Pandora is compromising Android devices, including smart TVs, TV boxes, and mobile devices, and using them for DDoS attacks • the Mozi IoT botnet nonfunctional has been successfully rendered nonfunctional • ESET blocked hundreds of thousands of attempts to access malicious domains with names resembling ChatGPT • MOVEit hack takes the name as the largest cyber incident of 2023 • website visitors are under siege - almost 45,000 websites have fallen victim to malicious JavaScript code
