Supersonic, Subatomic Quarkus With Couchbase

Presented by

Matt Ingenthron, Senior Director, Engineering, Couchbase

About this talk

Developer agility in the cloud requires a foundation that is highly flexible and responds quickly to new declarative states from infrastructure descriptions sitting right there alongside the code. Couchbase with either Kubernetes or OpenShift handles the database side of things. For the Java side of things, there’s Quarkus: a container-first runtime focused on fast startup times and low memory utilization. This makes for fast cycling between development and test. It doesn't stop at development, though. This tech also applies to production. With the quick startup time, you can rapidly scale a deployment to handle workload spikes, and even implement autoscaling. This session shows you how it all works.
