It’s no surprise that hybrid-working is now the norm for so many businesses around the world. In fact, according to a recent Citrix survey, 53% of EMEA and US workers went remote in 2022. The numbers don’t lie; while remote-working was adopted as a short term solution to the disruption caused by the pandemic, hybrid-working is the future.
Two things can be true at once. The move to hybrid-working is revolutionising the way businesses function, providing greater flexibility for employees and driving productivity. However, since 2020, there has been a 150% increase in the number of ransomware attacks. Leaders must find a balance between enabling employees to work from anywhere, while also reducing the attack surface and mitigating risk.
Security isn’t the only business priority. Sustainability is a universal priority. Finding a way to reduce energy bills and consumption, extend the lifespan of your devices, reduce waste, and create a positive impact on the environment must be front and centre of key decision making. Finding a way to prioritise security and sustainability with a single solution will create real environmental impact.
