Deriving Value from Bluetooth Device Data

Presented by

Josh Pederson, Director, Product Management, Ayla Networks

About this talk

Many connected products use Bluetooth and a mobile application to enable consumers to control them. But Bluetooth generally does not support IP protocols for IoT cloud connectivity. Consequently, Bluetooth manufacturers can’t leverage IoT data generated by their products without using separate IoT gateways. But now, using phone-as-a-gateway (PaaG) technology, Bluetooth-enabled products, using a smartphone or mobile device, can connect -- and transmit IoT data — directly to the cloud easily, without needing an IoT gateway. Register for this webinar to hear Ayla’s Director of Product Management explain how a mobile app can handle cloud connectivity using the mobile device’s Wi-Fi or cellular connection, and as a result, improve products faster, offer value-added services to customers, and discover new revenue channels.
