Managing and protecting research data has become a challenge for many Higher Education and research organisations, and with volumes of research data growing exponentially, organisations must ensure their data is protected while allowing researchers to access it quickly and safely.
Join Cloudian and Gammer Group to find out how to ensure your vital research data is immutable and protected in case of ransomware attacks and how we can help reduce the Total Cost of Ownership for storing and retrieving your data.
Find out how we can help your organisation, and hear from our guest speaker - Douglas Morrison, ICT Manager at AGRF.
About the organisation and the project delivered:
AGRF empowers world-class genomic science in the biomedical, clinical, agricultural and environmental sectors, with over 15,000 clients worldwide. The organisation has been at the centre of essential COVID-19 research, from assisting researchers with vaccine development to detecting the virus in wastewater. AGRF also distinguishes itself by its role in sequencing genomes of Australian threatened species to aid conservation efforts. In an average week, AGRF processes at least 10 terabytes (TB) of data—equivalent to one year’s worth of data from the Hubble Space Telescope. Because this data is critical for driving some of the world’s most important research, AGRF uses Cloudian, enabling them to manage, protect and access their data cost-effectively and easily.
