Lessons Learned from the Edge

Presented by

Arshad Khan and Ralph Santitoro

About this talk

Edge computing is all the rage these days, being driven by the exploding bandwidth and low latency needs of real-time applications, especially those for IoT and 5G applications. In fact, edge computing is expected to grow into a multi-billion dollar market in the next 5 years. By processing time-sensitive data closer to where it is consumed, edge computing offers improved application performance and a much higher quality of experience to enable new types of IoT applications and digital services. But creating edge computing solutions present many challenges. These solutions usually have many components and vendors, making them complex to design, implement, operate and maintain. Targeting those working in product management, planning, architecture, Dev/Ops, Dev/Test, operations and procurement, this webinar focuses on lessons we have learned in designing, implementing, and operating Edge Computing platforms. Arshad Khan, one of Fujitsu’s most seasoned Solution Architecture & Software Integration managers, will share first-hand experience and valuable tips on how to ensure your edge computing solutions are successful. Afterwards, Ralph Santitoro, head of Digital Services at Fujitsu, will provide a brief overview of Fujitsu’s Edge Computing services that address these challenges.
