About this talk

Gartner’s Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) is fast emerging as a preferred security architectural model for CISOs to build a long term security strategy. The key principle behind SASE is to deliver security controls on a distributed Edge network, thereby aligning the security architecture with digital business models. This model also aims to significantly improve the security posture of the organization by consolidating security controls in the cloud, encouraging organizations to move away from hardware appliance based security controls. However, CISOs do need to be careful in treating SASE as an incremental journey and not an immediate replacement of existing approaches. This is particularly true in today’s uncertain global macroeconomic scenario where security budgets are focused on essential projects rather than a radically overhauling current approaches. This session will offer some practical advice on SASE benefits and how organizations can use this framework as a foundation for their security strategy.
