About this talk

A 2021 survey by the Identity Security Alliance reported that 83% had seen an increase in the number of identities within their organization in the past year. The number of identities relating to the business is expanding, and as the IT estate grows, the more unwieldy it becomes. Gartner named both the Cybersecurity Mesh and Data Fabrics as strategic trends for 2022, but they both miss a critical piece of the infrastructure—the piece that deals with identity data and identity sprawl. Is John Smith in Active Directory the same individual as JSmith in Salesforce? What other accounts can we link to this person, and what resources and applications can they collectively access? Each unanswerable question represents a dangerous blind spot in the view of the company’s security. Heavily siloed systems offer threat actors an even larger attack service, with more gaps to exploit and a greater chance of staying undetected. In this discussion - moderated by Tom Field, SVP of Editorial at ISMG - two industry experts will consider the toll of identity sprawl and explore the role of Identity Data Fabrics to unify essential information in a complex, hybrid environment. Radiant Logic’s new CPO John Pritchard and CISO and Chief of Staff Chad McDonald will draw on their experiences to explore a path forward to control the sprawl without the cost and complexity of custom integration projects.
