The Evolution of Security in the Cloud

This is the fifth episode in a 6-part podcast series with a mission of sharing the latest insights and perspectives from our top security experts on the ever-changing security landscape. Our host, Randall Palm, AVP of Sales, is bringing over 20 years of experience at Akamai helping organizations through their digital transformations and will guide our audience through this 6-part series.

On this episode, Randall Palm virtually sits down with Matt Mosher, Global Director for Prolexic Sales, to have a conversation around organizations starting their cloud security evolution. Randall and Matt breakdown the trend of a recent uptick in DDoS extortion attack campaigns, and what the future of these campaigns looks like for organizations across all industries. They then go on to talk about the movement from legacy security infrastructure to cloud security, the challenges and benefits, and suggestions for security leaders looking to get started.

Your risk of a DDoS attack changed significantly in 2020, mostly driven by the largest global extortion campaign ever launched. • Taking SASE from buzzword to plan Jun 16 2021 6:00 pm UTC 17 mins
    Steve Winterfeld, Advisory CISO
Analyst frameworks can be a great resource, but to provide value, most have to be tailored to fit each company. Gartner’s secure access service edge (SASE) is a great framework example. It is gaining traction within the industry because it drives benefits like reducing vendor management overhead and complexity, but because different companies will have their own priorities, the framework doesn’t provide a set solution.

This talk will map out how to develop your requirements, conduct a gap analysis, lock in a plan, and get buy-in for your SASE-based program.

    You will gain:
    • An understanding of the SASE framework and its benefits
    • Step-by-step detail about how to operationalize the framework
    • Tools to help you develop the strategy and business case

Join us for a quick but actionable overview of how to integrate the protection of your edge!
