About this talk

Cisco’s industrial switch series IE3x00, the industrial router IR1101, and the industrial access point IW6300 and are running IOS XE (same as on the Catalyst 9000 Series) which enables Industrial NetDevOps. Industrial NetDevOps is the combination of the tools and best practices from DevOps with network engineering and operations in industrial networks. This means that instead of using SNMP and CLI, you configure and manage industrial network devices via network device APIs and other software automation tools. The aim of the session is to get you started with Industrial NetDevOps: How you can use the network device APIs (RESTCONF & NETCONF), the automation tool Ansible and its differences to DNA Center and Industrial Network Director (IND). Also, it will cover use-cases where it would make sense to use these APIs. There will be also a live demo for showcasing!
