Meraki’s Dashboard API has proven for years to be a useful tool in network creation, management, and monitoring. It has provided thousands of organizations ROI in time and effort by allowing them to build network and applications for how they manage IT. The first version of the Meraki Dashboard API (v0 as it’s called) was bolted on to the platform as an additional feature rather than the driver of features and development. Working in conjunction with DevNet, Meraki adopted and “API First” mentality in the development of v1 and is now ready to unveil the resulting improvements. In this session, we will explore differences from v0 and v1 that will enhance the developer experience, promote consistency and adoption of REST standards, and identify avenues for increased efficiency in API implementation and usage.
