Presenter:
Milja Norberg, Manager of Reporting & Assessment (The PRI)
As part of our 10-year Blueprint for responsible investment – looking at how to take responsible investment forward over the next decade – we committed to undertake an extensive review of our Reporting Framework. This includes the reporting indicators themselves, our assessment methodology, the reporting outputs and the platforms to support this.
The Reporting Framework review began with a first consultation phase between March and July 2019. The PRI has since then taken a number of steps to carefully put together a more developed proposal of what a new Reporting and Assessment framework could look like. The proposal has been heavily based on signatory feedback during the first consultation phase, with oversight from the PRI Board and support from the Reporting and Assessment Advisory Committee. We are now in the second consultation phase, asking signatories to indicate their level of support for the proposal that the PRI has put forward.
This webinar will:
• serve as an update on the overall Reporting and Assessment review, including the steps taken so far and what’s next;
• outline the current Reporting and Assessment proposal out for consultation;
• test the ideas/collect feedback through polling questions about the proposal; and,
• answer any questions the audience might have in regards to the proposal.
Presenter:
Senita Galijatovic, Head of Reporting and Accountability (The PRI)

In 2018, as part of the PRI’s programme on championing climate action, we introduced voluntary climate change indicators in the PRI Reporting Framework, based on the recommendations of the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD).
From the 2020 reporting cycle, signatories will for the first time be required to report on the climate change indicators on a mandatory basis. The indicators will not be assessed and signatories can continue to choose whether they wish to disclose their responses.
This webinar will take you through what you need to know in order to prepare for and report on the TCFD-based PRI climate change indicators, including:
•A brief background to the TCFD recommendations and what they mean for signatories.
•An outline of the climate change indicators that will be mandatory to report on.
•How you can use the PRI's Data Portal to learn what actions other signatories have already taken related to climate change.

Join us to discuss the latest release from the Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI). This release covers the transportation section which looks at Airlines, Autos, and the new sector of Shipping. The discussion will cover a brief overview of the TPI, the methodology and the results from these sectors. There will also be a chance for some Q&A.
A forceful policy response to climate change within the near term is not priced into today's markets. Yet it is inevitable that governments will be forced to act more decisively than they have so far, leaving investor portfolios exposed to significant risk. The longer the delay, the more disorderly, disruptive and abrupt the policy will inevitably be.
In anticipation, PRI, Vivid Economics and ETA have developed a pioneering project that helps investors prepare for the financial impact of an Inevitable Policy Response (IPR).
This webinar presents the latest outputs of the project, covering:
•The Forecast Policy Scenario - what are some of the policy assumptions and implications for the macro-economy?
•Release of the Asset-level value stream model - which key sectors will be impacted across major asset classes?
Andrew Voysey (Soil Capital), Steven Rosenzweig (General Mills), Yasmine Svan (LGIM), Gemma James (PRI)
Investors have been engaged on agricultural related topics such as deforestation, water, food security and climate but little attention has been paid to the importance of soil health and its foundational role in all of these issues, as well as with respect to supporting decent farmer livelihoods. PRI will host a webinar to raise awareness and to build the business case on why investors should pay attention to soil health. It will highlight the risks that all investors are exposed to and explore the opportunities available to them.
The webinar will cover:
1. Why soil health is important to companies throughout the food sector and the risks and opportunities investors are exposed to;
2. Regenerative agriculture as one approach to improving soil health and the associated benefits for businesses and resilient communities;
3. How investors can integrate soil health with other agriculture-related topics and what they should engage companies on which is specific to soil health.
This webinar will explore how investors can play a role in pushing for more and better human rights due diligence and will focus in particular on efforts to tackle modern slavery and human trafficking. Speakers from the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and from the Liechtenstein Initiative for a Financial Sector Commission on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking will provide insights on how investors can push forward this ambitious agenda.
Fiduciary Duty in the 21st Century, a collaboration between the PRI and UNEP FI with generous financial support from The Generation Foundation, contributes an extensive evidence base to end the debate on whether fiduciary duty is a legitimate barrier to the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues in investment practice and decision-making.
Hear from market actors themselves how governments are updating their frameworks, regulators are moving to support the updated conception of fiduciary duty, and investors are also expressing and working towards aligning economic and sustainability objectives.
The project finds that in the 21st century there has been a marked growth in responsible investment regulation and policy around the globe. Investors that fail to incorporate ESG issues are failing their fiduciary duties and are increasingly likely to be subject to legal challenge.
While the conceptual debate around whether ESG issues are a requirement of investor duties and obligations is now over, there are several areas where further work is required.
