  • ¿Por qué los inversores deberían actuar sobre los derechos humanos? Mar 10 2021 10:30 am UTC 60 mins
    The PRI

  • Climate Reporting in the 2021 PRI Reporting Cycle Recorded: Feb 8 2021 43 mins
Kimberly Gladman Senior Associate, Climate Change, PRI & Irene Diaz, Associate, Reporting and Assessment, PRI
In 2018, as part of the PRI’s programme on championing climate action, we introduced voluntary climate change indicators in the PRI Reporting Framework, based on the recommendations of the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD). Since the 2020 reporting cycle, signatories have been required to report on the climate change indicators on a mandatory basis. In 2021, the indicators related to the strategy and governance recommendations will also be publicly disclosed and part of private assessment, while some ‘plus’ questions based on the TCFD recommendations around risk management and metrics and targets will remain voluntary and non-assessed, with a view to making them ‘core’ in 2022. In this webinar, we will take signatories through the main changes to the PRI reporting requirements on the TCFD-based indicators and how the recommendations can be implemented by signatories on a more practical basis.

    Speakers:
Kimberly Gladman Senior Associate, Climate Change, PRI
Irene Diaz, Associate, Reporting and Assessment, PRI
  • Deforestation as a Credit Risk Recorded: Feb 4 2021 62 mins

Instead, this webinar will look at deforestation from a credit risk perspective, by exploring how it may affect the probability of default of a debt issuer or of an issue, with various participants of the investment chain.

Nneka Chike-Obi, Director, Sustainable Finance, Fitch Ratings
Christopher Stephan Wells, Global Head of Environmental and Social Risk, Santander
Peter van der Werf, Senior Engagement Specialist, Team Lead Engagement Director, Active Ownership, Robeco

  • Asset Owners’ Role Driving Responsible Investment Through Manager Relationships Recorded: Feb 3 2021 62 mins
    The PRI
Asset owners sit at the top of the investment chain. This group should feel empowered to work with asset managers on responding to their values, strategies and policies on responsible investment. Yet there seem to be blockages – data, fiduciary concerns and others – and the pressure is growing. Regulators and beneficiaries are increasingly requiring more active asset ownership. A panel of experts will discuss some of these issues and talk through where asset owners can work collaboratively with investment managers through the selection, appointment and monitoring process.

    Kirsty Jenkinson, Investment Director, CALSTRS

  • PRI Canada: Fixed Income Deep Dive & New Reporting Insight Recorded: Jan 26 2021 73 mins
    The PRI
While different from equity investors, who own a share of the entities in which they invest, fixed income investors also play an important role in promoting the responsible investment agenda. Considering ESG factors can enhance risk assessments and as lenders of capital, fixed income investors can contribute to funding more sustainable business and growth models. In analysing the most recent Canadian PRI signatory reporting data, the signatory relations team has identified fixed income as an area of opportunity for 2021. Responsible investing policies and procedures specific to fixed income are not commonplace in Canada and many other markets, though there is a clear trend towards addressing this. Join us to learn more about the great work our fixed income team has been doing, review best practices, and discuss what fixed income reporting looks like in the new reporting framework.
