This webinar, co-hosted by PRI and the Asian Corporate Governance Association (ACGA) is the last in a series of webinars focused on corporate governance in Asia and will explore the outlook for corporate governance in India in 2021 and beyond. A panel of experts will share their views on areas of progress in terms of regulation and disclosure and provide insights for investors on engagement and voting.

- The extent to which regulatory reforms in the market are facilitating a cultural shift towards better governance models. Do we see promising trends on board independence and effectiveness?
- If the new extensive requirements on corporate sustainability disclosure will stand the test of time and eventually contribute to better board preparedness on sustainability topics.
- Whether the stewardship codes for institutional investors have strengthened engagement and voting in the market, and what are some the unique challenges local and foreign investors face in building the momentum for change?
- Whether and how the pandemic has affected governance issues including shareholders’ ability to participate at AGMs
