Creating the virtual classroom of the future

Brentwood Academy faced similar challenges shared with many educational and corporate environments. In light of the pandemic, how would they operate virtually? Brentwood Academy looked beyond remote learning and took on the challenge of creating a virtual classroom. It all started with a walk in the park and ended up with a comprehensive solution that positions the institution with the classroom of the future. Lockdowns from the pandemic forced the organization to consider new ways to engage both teachers and students. Brentwood Academy evaluated a number of products with varying degrees of success. After a number of trials, they focused on a solution in partnership with ViewSonic, Intel and Microsoft that created a comprehensive experience for the virtual classroom. The solution leverages the ViewSonic ViewBoard, Intel NUC and Microsoft Teams. Brentwood Academy piloted the solution earlier this summer and in August started using the solution in production. Fast forward to today and they are already using the solution beyond the classroom for extracurricular activities such as robotics competitions.
