Contino Supports the Ministry of Defence at the Defence Hackathon

Contino recently sponsored the Ministry of Defence's "Defence Hackathon" - our experts provided a workshop, mentoring, and technical expertise to MOD personnel during the week-long hackathon. Running for the second year, the hackathon is run by MOD and Astra Appivate; the RAF’s High Code Software Capability, whose mission is: "to build bespoke software that enables our aviators in the delivery of air power.". The hackathon has been designed to celebrate the amazing talent and data skills within the MOD, and provides attendees a platform to develop their data engineering, data science and data analytic skills, and collaborate across multiple departments and divisions whilst developing applications and solutions that could meet the evolving needs of defence. Contino’s data expertise across platforms, engineering and digital transformation projects, combined with our knowledge sharing culture, meant our experts were able to provide useful advice and support to upskill the MOD’s internal talent.
