Health insurers and providers operate in a tightly regulated environment where protecting data is paramount. In 2019, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBS NC) set out to transform their data center in order to improve speeds in healthcare application development.
The timing on the project turned out to be fortuitous. The project kicked off and was completed prior to the COVID-19 outbreak. The true test came when quarantines meant sending office workers home. BCBS NC was able to support a workforce of over 7,000 employees seamlessly, with no business interruption for employees or customers.
Join this webinar to learn how Red Hat and NetApp helped BCBS NC transform from an on-premise organization with multiple data centers, to leveraging public cloud speed to achieve their digital transformation and become a true development operation.
