Top quartile companies for diversity were found to be more likely to financially outperform industry medians than bottom quartile companies for gender diversity (by 16%) and ethnic diversity (by 35%) (McKinsey & Company, 2017). Workplace diversity is far more than just a moral issue. Organisations can harness the difference in people to help them become more successful, more innovative, more skilled and better able to cater to their diverse clients’ needs. However, putting steps in place to build a diverse workforce is not enough. So what can you do? She is mainly responsible for carrying out academic research in relation to psychometric assessments and validating concepts to help inform new product ideas. Her dissertation focused on the impact of trait emotional intelligence on workplace outcomes. Arianna has a Masters in Organisational & Business Psychology from UCL and is a Research Assistant within the Science Team at Thomas International. Her dissertation focused on the relationship between personality traits and organisational outcomes and the moderating impact of self-awareness. Arianna is involved in running validation and reliability studies for psychometric tools, conducting academic and client research for product innovation and analysing data through statistical analysis.
