About this talk

To forge effective partnerships between payers and pharmacies, you need to understand the unique languages, goals and interests of patients, pharmacies and payers. Shedding light on how these diverse stakeholders view pharmacist-provided services and value-based performance programs, Pharmacy Quality Solutions (PQS) has published its inaugural Industry Trend Report in Pharmacy Quality. The session will cover what challenges and opportunities payers face when trying to improve quality measure performance scores, what pharmacies are investing in for the future to support value-based programs with payers, and how consumers view the role of pharmacists now compared to the future. Other high-level performance trends in adherence and guideline-based measures will be reviewed and discussed. Bio: Todd Sega, PharmD is the Senior Vice President of Development and Strategy for Pharmacy Quality Solutions (PQS). In this role, he is responsible for managing new developments in its existing products and evaluating new strategic product areas where PQS can continue advancing its mission to manage performance information between payers and providers so patients can receive the highest quality of care. PQS’s main product known as EQuIPPTM helps health plans and community pharmacies track the quality of medication use through key performance measures so pharmacies and health plans can engage patients for quality improvement. PQS currently manages just over 80% of all Medicare Part D lives and connects with over 90% of community pharmacies.
