SD-WAN has evolved dramatically over the last decade. What started as a technology to enable cost efficient branch-to-branch WAN connectivity, its journey progressed to include the support of direct branch-to-cloud connectivity, home teleworking, and more recently security and value-added service consumption hosted at the cloud edge.
