SD-WAN: From Branch Connectivity to Universal Fabric

SD-WAN has evolved dramatically over the last decade. What started as a technology to enable cost efficient branch-to-branch WAN connectivity, its journey progressed to include the support of direct branch-to-cloud connectivity, home teleworking, and more recently security and value-added service consumption hosted at the cloud edge. What remained constant throughout this journey is Nuage Network’s approach to support this evolution by empowering Managed Service Providers with a “Universal Fabric” that removes integration barriers to meet best-in-breed network and security requirements for each enterprise customer. In this presentation, the evolution of SD-WAN will be detailed along Nuage Network’s approach to support this evolution. Futuriom’s recent report, Trends Driving Value-added Services for SD-WAN, will be referenced extensively.
