About this talk

Organizations in IoT, Gaming, Logistics, Banking need their infrastructure to evolve quickly and scale efficiently to handle their most demanding applications. Most often, these next generation applications are deployed on non-relational distributed (NoSQL) databases such as MongoDB which require careful planning for scale, performance, and high availability. In this case, the storage engine you choose to rely on for efficient data access is critical. Micron® testing has proven that SSDs combined with storage software optimized for flash are the cornerstones of data-centric application performance. Join this technical conversation to learn how Micron and Lightbits Labs can help your organization with faster data access to storage and improved endurance, utilization, and more cost-effective ways to maximize your infrastructure investments for NoSQL Databases, specifically MongoDB. Attendees will discover: • An intro to recently released open-source Micron Heterogeneous-Memory Storage Engine (HSE) for Linux® servers • How to use HSE to manage data I/O to dramatically improve overall database performance • How to enable redundant storage without triple replication • How to deliver a scalable, highly available, high performance, and optimally utilized database environment Presenters: Ryan Meredith, Micron Ryan Meredith is a senior manager of Storage Solutions Engineering at Micron. He's worked in enterprise storage since 2007 for U.S. Bank, IBM and Gemalto. He currently leads a team focused on architecting and performance testing enterprise solutions using Micron's DRAM and flash technologies. He also serves as Micron’s representative on the board of directors for the NVM Express standards body. Josh Goldenhar, Lightbits Josh Goldenhar is VP of Product Marketing at Lightbits Labs. Josh is a technologist with a systems architecture and storage background who’s passionate about helping organizations solve the largest scaling issues.
