Payments Update: Visa Interchange Rates are Changing in 2020

Presented by

Kristopher Riley, Head of Platforms at Paystand; Eduardo Lopez, Webinar Host

About this talk

Earlier this year, Visa announced the biggest change to its payment rates in about a decade. The card network was set to increase interchange fees this year, but the Covid-19 pandemic has postponed that to a future date. While a few categories may see lower rates under the new changes, the majority of businesses will see their payment processing costs go up. Many experts estimate credit card processors may increase fees by 5 to 10 basis points. Join us for our webinar, Payments Update: Visa Interchange Rates are Changing in 2020 on Thursday, July 30th at 10 am PT | 1 pm ET, for a discussion on Visa’s new interchange rates and what this means for merchants. You'll learn: - How Visa is changing the interchange structure - Which businesses and categories are affected - Steps to take to minimize your credit card costs after new rates go into effect - Different ways to manage your exposure to payment fees
