About this talk

It has been a perfect storm for investors in UK smaller companies and AIM in recent years. A combination of sharp increases in interest rates and inflation and weaker corporate earnings have led to material falls in share prices. Persistent and substantial outflows from UK equity funds have added fuel to this fire, leaving valuations in smallcap at multi-year lows. Political instability and misaligned incentives have also served to undermine confidence in the UK as a suitable place for growth companies to be listed. In this webcast we examine the reasons why we believe that now could be the ideal time to revisit the UK smallcap asset class. Amongst many topics we will cover valuations, liquidity and what can be done to shake the UK market out of it’s current malaise. We will then outline what we are doing to ensure that the WS Amati UK Listed Smaller Companies Fund is fit and ready for recovery when it comes.
