About this talk

The Royal Commission report, ‘ICT Strategy and Architecture Review’ found major deficiencies with the current aged care system, including lack of data collection and sharing, poor interoperability and a fundamental lack of standardisation. The Aged Care sector must prepare to embrace the new digital world and build towards real-time data sharing between aged care providers, healthcare providers and the Government. This is critical in bridging the gap and building an interconnected aged care ecosystem, thus helping to make more informed healthcare decisions for the benefit of older Australians. Join our panel of Aged Care experts as they break down the report findings, with use cases to demonstrate how: • Increased interoperability and integration between systems is fundamental to improving care coordination and health outcomes for older Australians • Improvement of data sharing increases efficiency, negating the need to enter the same data into multiple systems – and builds towards a client-centric approach • Adopting cloud capabilities can close the digital gap for the Aged Care sector.
