Controlling Data Chaos in State & Local Government

Presented by

James Taylor - Florida Tech Council, David Clark - Allegiant Strategies Group, Darryl Richardson - Aparavi

About this talk

Data breaches against State & Local Governments have increased by 65%, according to CNN. Bad actors have a tendency to view these organizations as “low-hanging fruit” when it comes to accessing personal and sensitive data. That's because governments have Petabytes of unstructured legacy data, which only keeps growing, and no comprehensive system in place to search or manage that data. Today there are solutions that can automate the lifecycle of unstructured data and simplify the process of data governance, but there's no time to waste, as the likelihood and implications of a data breach continue to grow exponentially, and states adopt new data privacy laws and hold organizations to higher standards of cybersecurity enforcement. Join Darryl Richardson, Chief Platform Evangelist at Aparavi, James Taylor, CEO of the Florida Technology Council, and David Clark, Founder and Managing Partner of Allegiant Strategies Group, as they discuss how state and local city governments can: - Resolve the challenges of unstructured data management - Reduce the risk of data breach and - Protect personal and sensitive data with intelligence and automation
