About this talk

Request demo at https://www.alkira.com/demo/ Many enterprises operate an eco-system of partners that require access to a common set of application resources. Oftentimes traditionally partner connectivity was established to the on-premises data centers or colocation facilities leveraging technologies such as IPSec VPN over the Internet. The proliferation of this point-to-point connectivity method created an infrastructure resource strain and resulted in limited scalability. To control access to the shared application services and prevent partner-to-partner communication, enterprises deployed and inserted next-generation firewalls along with traffic segmentation. Mapping of IPSec VPN tunnels into the network segments and steering application traffic towards the firewalls created a highly complicated security environment. Finally, as enterprise applications requiring partner access moved from on-premises data centers and colocation facilities into a single or multiple public cloud environments, centralized partner access resulted in a significant traffic backhaul and subsequently sub-optimal application experience. Watch this demonstration to see how leveraging Alkira Cloud Services Exchange solution allows establishing distributed network access at two different geographic locations for an optimal application experience. We will also demonstrate how leveraging end-to-end segmentation with cross-segment routing and intelligent firewall service insertion allows to segregate suppliers and warehouses while allowing secure access to the shared inventory system. Lastly, we will show leveraging network address translation or NAT to mitigate IP address overlap for proper routing.
