Black History Month Interview with Derek Mills

This week, we sat down with Derek Mills; an author, public speaker and Senior Partner at St James’ Place Wealth Management. Throughout his 20’s and 30’s, far from being successful, Derek had significant financial challenges and debt. His situation became dire, and at one point, his family home was moments away from being repossessed by the bank. He was working long hours which kept him away from his family. Derek shares his story of how a 10-second moment changed the trajectory of his life. He shares how the power of discovering his true self and the utilization of daily standards instead of goals enabled him to achieve happiness and success. Over the next four years, he turned his life and business around, made his first million, became a more present father and went on to speak at events across the globe.
