Troubleshooting an application not performing as expected can be a daunting task. In this session, we’ll take a look at some of the tools provided as part of RHEL to increase your ability to observe performance on the system and for applications! We will start with some quick tools to report on individual subsystems, but then delve deeper using bcc-tools, a library of applications that leverage the extended Berkeley Packet Filter (eBPF), to provide deeper insight into your system’s and applicaiton’s operations.
