Beware the other virus - The spread of Coronavirus-themed malware

The Check Point research team also noticed a huge number of coronavirus related domains being registered around the same time. As a matter of fact, since January this year, based on Check Point Threat Intelligence, there have been over 4,000 coronavirus-related domains registered globally. Out of these websites, 3% were found to be malicious and we identified an additional 5% as suspicious. That’s around 320 coronavirus related domains that have been discovered by Check Point to either be malicious or suspicious, so far….
