Active ETFs: Debunking the myths

Presented by

Tom Eckett, Editor, ETF Stream

About this talk

The term ‘active ETFs’ is often viewed as a contradiction by many market participants who only know ETFs as passive building blocks in their portfolios, however, many issuers are starting to build their active strategies within the ETF wrapper. While regulatory developments have been slower in Europe compared to the US, there has still been significant demand for active ETFs over the past few years. This webinar debunked some of the myths around active ETFs, explored the advantages of accessing active strategies through the ETF wrapper and analysed where the market is heading next. Speakers: Olivier Paquier, Head of EMEA ETF Distribution, JP Morgan Asset Management Andrew Jamieson, Global Head of ETF Product, Citi Tom Eckett, Editor, ETF Stream (moderator)
